I love the internet!!

The officer specifically stated that he was NOT weaving or doing anything crazy. What it all adds up to Trish Thompson is that he was speeding. Period. In VA, anything over 80 is reckless.

Son met with lawyer yesterday and the lawyer will be meeting with the prosecutor next week. I guess that's standard procedure even though the court date is some weeks away.

I got an RD ticket in Loudoun County 14 years ago. I had my speedometer calibrated and found that it was off by a couple of mph. I also took a driver's education course online at my attorney's suggestion. My attorney got the ticket knocked down from an RD to speeding 10-14 over. I was actually slowing down when the officer saw me (I didn't see him at first) and he thought I was slowing down for him. I ran into him a few months later in my office building and talked to him about it.
