New development in Rippon Landing (Woodbridge)
Good morning,
I am seeking information on the Rippon Landing area. DR Horton is building a lot of new townhomes and condos there and my fiancee fell in love with one of the townhouse models there on Sunday. We had to drive through a more "established" area (was that PC enough?) to get to them, though. I have heard some bad things about Rippon Landing in the past and was wondering if anyone could share any insight with me.
School quality is also important to us. Should I plan on sending our children to private school if we live there?
Potomac Club also appeals to us because it is gated, but man those dues are high.
Thanks in advance for your help!

If school quality is important to you, you should move to Fairfax County or Arlington County.

Rippon es no bueno. Move west or north. Rippon Landing was my exact patrol area. I personally wouldn't be there....

nitrovic - in another Woodbridge thread, you mentioned the Rippon/Blackburn area is "becoming a nice area." Would the new D.R. Horton condos/townhomes there count as part of that area, or is it too close to route 1 for its own good?

Nitrovic, we have a friend who is looking into Prince William Town Center. Is that a safe area?
Thanks

Yeah, real nice. Good shopping and a really good development plan.
