Default New Job in Arlington

I recently took a job in Arlington and moved to Ashburn, my problem is my commute home, I would take RT50 to RT7 and be home in almost 2 hours. I recently started taking RT66 to RT7 which gets me home in about an hour and 15. From Arlington, I'm only on RT66 for 5 miles to get to RT 7, my question is how do police monitor RT66 if I'm not driving with 2 or more people,,,I see others on the road all the time with only one person... Should I stop taking this way home or keep going???

Depends on how much risk you're willing to take, and how much money you want to spend on tickets.
The police regularly camp out on the Route 7 exit ramp to pull over HOV scofflaws. I see them nearly everyday when driving on nearby Idylwood Road.

Default THANK You!!

Thats the answer I needed!! Thanks,, When I went home yesterday I saw cops on ramp while exiting, luckily they were busy with someone else!!! I understand the logic but I'm only on there for 10 minutes and its not even crowded.. o well, guess I have to figure something else out.

Depending on where you are in Arlington, there are plenty of other options. Route 29, 237, Old Dominion, GW Parkway, etc.

agreed - i'd try GW parkway to 123 - mclean to dulles toll rd. It shouldn't take you more than an hour in the evenings. Or you can get on 66 right at 6:30 when HOV lifts.
