LOL, doesn't that sound fun in 100+ weather - like I said though, I can't get the pipe off because it's all screwed/bracketed down. I have a message in to Croppe Metalcalfe but haven't heard from them yet, I assume they are pretty busy this time of yr. I have to go down and empty the plastic container I have to catch the drips every 4-5 hrs. (getting my steps in, LOL)

You don't necessarily need a plan but you should have an HVAC company on speed dial you like and trust. Even if you don't have a plan it's a good idea to have a tune-up at least once a year.

Best advice.
ANYONE can make up a 3/4" pvc drain even if they aren't handy. Do yourself a favor and buy a cheap $12.00 cutter.
It will make the job a pleasure, and even if you never use it again it's worth it.
Pipe, fittings, glue, cutter= $25-30.

Forget a hacksaw, it just makes a mess.

Thanks for the help everyone, I had CroppMetcalfe come out as the dripping got much worse - turned out to be: lack of maintenance... the line was clogged, lots of black gunk came out when he flushed it and vacuumed out the stuff.
