Is there any place for non-parents to see school bus routes and scheduled pick-up/ drop-off times?

That usually comes in a back to school letter from your child's school, or use to at least. Best bet is call your child's school and ask them.

I'm asking as a non-parent. No letter will be coming to my home.

Maybe you can call the schools in your area? Although, TBH, the schools will wonder why you want this info.

However, if you know what time school starts and ends each day, you can pretty much figure out when the buses will arrive.

It's not just the schools in my area, it's every school on my commute that I am potentially interested in. I'm just trying to plan my commute (which can go a thousand different directions through Loudoun, Fairfax, Arlington, Montgomery counties and DC) without getting stuck behind a bus. And because my commute may change due to traffic situations, I don't want to use alternate routes, just to get stuck behind a bus that can cause a 20 minute delay.

And I don't think knowing when school starts helps to know when a particular bus goes down a particular street.

Maybe this information is not available to the public. I'm just trying to avoid the "live and learn" method.

Prince William bus routes are on the school webpage.....every single one. But it's a tad early for them to be posted. Usually they are there the week before school starts and they continue to tweak for the first month.

Sorry, totally missed the non-parent part. I doubt if what you are asking for is available or even it is it as in Prince William, seems like it would take a spread sheet to look at all the routes to find what impacts your normal commuter route and what time they go through there.

The first week the schools are back is always a mess as you know. Everyone expects it and I doubt there is much that can be done other than plan to leave earlier and see how it all plays out.

Fairfax County does not publish bus routes or schedules.

That would make it too easy for parental kidnappers and other evil doers.

Looks like Loudoun doesn't either. The school site directs me to the private site that requires a login.
