Have you looked into Google Fi? Its pricing is pretty reasonable, IMHO. You pay $20 per month for unlimited voice and text, then $10 per month per GB. The BEAUTY of this is that (1) you only pay for what you use. For example, if you only used 100 MB in the month, you'd pay $9 less on your next bill. And there's no overage fees. If you used more than what your plan "allowed" for, you'd just pay for what you used. Comes out to one buck per 100 MB. They have a feature called "wifi assist" which automatically connects you (securely) to open hotspots--you won't be using cellular data in this case!

You'd have to buy a Nexus 5X, 6, or 6P to enroll with Google Fi. But if it doesn't work out, then the phones will work on Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular--all three are the services that Google Fi connects to.

Also ... not sure if you know it, but if you have Amazon Prime, then you can download movies to your tablet so that you can play them without an Internet connection.

Just trying to help folks save... because data is expensive. :-)

Sprint is the best. I've had it for over 15 years living in Loudoun County and Fairfax County. I have never had an issue with reception. Sprint cell phone towers are everywhere.

So circling back here with results. Did the switch last week from ATT to Sprint. Picked up two new iPhone 6s, each with 128gb of memory (pink and black). The plan is 25gb of high speed data, unlimited text and calling, and both phones function as hotspots for kids iPads. Paid $200 upfront for phones due to memory increase, and wrapped the rest into the monthly bill ($11/month each). Total monthly bill going forward for this plan?

$119,78. Period. That's all the taxes, fees, everything. We were paying $130 for 3gb of data and no free texting at a minimum (usually went over on data for an extra $15.

Now, the service/signal/clarity difference? Absolute , 100%, hands down, no questions asked winner - Sprint. The call clarity is unbelievable. It's like 4K technology has arrived to your cell phone conversation. The signal? Best I could do with att at my office was 2 bars when next to my window. Sprint? I've got 3 bars when I'm in the friggin basement or elevator core.

Wife went to NC this weekend, rural country. Have NEVER had a signal inside her parents home, never ever. This trip with Sprint - 2-3 bars at all times.

We are VERY happy we made this change!!! No brainer for us.
