Georgetown South is one of the worst areas in the Northern Va area much less just PWC. I agree for that price they probably couldn't find much else, but lets not suggest moving them into a very high crime area.

I would suggest a condo at that price, you could still be in a pretty good area. Of try going farther out. We have some nice townhomes in Culpeper for that price. They also have alright ones in Fredericksburg for close to that as well. Stay out of PWC for that pricerange.

My husband and I first look online to find out the prices for homes, and the basic information. Second I talk to you nice people for an insiders pov. Last, we visit the towns and house we are intrested in.

Today we checked out Manassas Park and it seems safer the further west you go. However it is very cluttered and I don't like all the one-way streets. Reminds me of old town alexandria, the way the streets are. I don't think we will be buying a house in Manassas Park.

I think I am going to check out Triangle and Dumfrise next.
Don't pick the Dumfries or Triangle area. For that price you would only be able to afford Williamstown, another horrible place to be. Manassas Park is def. the best area for that price. It has a low crime rate and a good police department that is small enough to address any problems you throw their way. There is a large Hispanic population (some think thats bad). They are very good people though and have really contributed to the houses becoming nicer. I would suggest Manassas Park over anything in PWC for the price range.

As one I agree. I wouldn't move my family there.
