Without putting too much weight in commute time (they are obviously all going to be ugly) specifically where would you absolutely NOT live if you were working in Rosslyn and had children in elementary school?

What areas have shuttles, not the metro buses that take you to the metro stations but like Leesburg's that is direct to Rosslyn? How do you find info about them?

Thanks Everyone! I've been lurking for several weeks and have gained a lot of info.

It sounds like you're asking about limited-stop buses that feed into Metrorail stations. Besides Loudoun County Commuter Bus Service (http://www.loudoun.gov/Default.aspx?tabid=785 - broken link) , you can also find that it in Reston LINK: Reston Virginia Transportation Alternatives and Bus Schedule Information as well as Prince William County (OmniRide)PRTC - The Ride That's Right For You.

I don't have kids so I'm definitely not "qualified" to recommend where to send yours.
