What's your true commute time to work? From the time you close your front door, to the time you open the door to your office building, how long does it take?

You can use the following format to help future readers.

A. Zip Code of your home address
B. Zip Code of your ending location
C. Mode or method of commuting

Receive an extra point if you share why you believe your method of commuting is the best and fastest to and from your work destination.

Not sure why someone would lie about this....

90 mins on average each way, but with that length, it has a lot of fluxuation. I drive from 20117 to 20016. There is no other way to do it under 2 hours.

40 minutes at 0400
45 give or take at 1500.

22824 to 22630

But my times rarely include any kind of sitting in a backup unless of course there is a crash or road construction.

Oh yeah, driving out here is my only option.

55 minutes in the AM. 75 minutes in the PM. Commuting by car.

It's the best for me because I prefer the flexibility and freedom of having my car.

Is it the quickest? Meh. It's a probably a wash when you add in the time to drive to/from the commuter lot and then at least two bus transfers.

22079 (Lorton) to 22182 (Tysons)
Car, 24 miles
I usually leave in the morning between 5:30 and 5:45 and it takes 30-35 minutes.
I try to leave by 3PM and it generally takes 40-45 minutes.

I've tried taking commuter buses (Tysons Express and Fairfax Connector), Metro and VRE/Metro.

Driving is almost always faster and provides more flexibility. All of the mass transit options take more than hour.
