I know that shopping center has been mostly empty for a while, but that there are plans to develop a new town center. How are the townhomes behind that shopping center? Those close to Lake Fairfax park. I'm curious as to if the poor fortunes of the shopping center are indicative of crime or blight in the area, or just truly bad luck stemming from poor visibility from the main road.

That area is fine. As a matter of fact I would predict an upswing in desirability once the redevelopment of Tall Oaks is complete. It's also within a long walking distance to Metro.

I agree with Nate_VA the new plans for the Tall Oaks look really good and will likely improve the desirability of the near by townhouses.

Thanks for the input, both of you. I remember reading that some of the village centers were seedy, but maybe I'm thinking about South Reston. Or maybe Columbia, MD....
