I am scoping out potential salsa and swing dance spots in the city of Arlington, VA. Googling came up with some unclear hits. Can anyone speak to the social dancing scene in Arlington? Is it strong? Lackluster?
Thanks in advance.

I know nothing about dancing

How could you miss this if searching in Arlington?

Because Clarendon Ballroom is a bump and grind place. It's not a social dancing joint, as in, people go there to be social and they dance. But *dance* in the loosest terms.

LOL Clarendon Ballroom is good if you want 22 year olds who drive from Woodbridge or Fairfax and think it's "cool", while watching 3-4 fights go down for no real reason.

But I wouldn't call it a Ballroom at all.

The best spot for salsa in Northern Virginia is The Salsa Room, on Columbia Pike near Walter Reed Dr. Can't help you with swing.

There are most likely meetup groups for dancing.
