Fairfax county schools are among the top in Virginia, as far as government schools go. As far as diverse, I'd have to say that it is VERY diverse. I worked in Springfield, but commuted from a long way out, I couldn't tell you what it's like to live there.
Best of luck to you.

I've noticed you've posted inquiring about various places in Northern Virginia, so let me just say that every community in Northern Virginia has good schools (some better than others, but all generally above average), a plentiful amount of jobs (DC area has one of the best economies in the nation and I'd imagine positions for nurses aides are pretty widespread), is very ethnically diverse (varies by locale, but all of the area is diverse), and not very friendly (this is subjective, but the DC area as a whole is not the friendliest, but I don't think one city is more unfriendly than another). Many communities in Northern Virginia sort of bleed into one another in a sprawly mess with little discernible identity of their own. It's not like older communities in the Northeast, in places like New York and New Jersey and Pennsylvania where each town has a distinct identity and the character changes rapidly from one town to the next. Some areas are a bit more gritty and urban or have a bit of a different mix of people and housing, but as a whole, the area is fairly similar throughout with differences mostly being in regards to condition of housing (generally older the closer in you get), and expense (again, generally more expensive the closer in you go).

Schools - good
Jobs - good (aren't nurses aides in high demand everywhere)
Diversity - good
Friendliness - not really but I suppose it's subjective; the DC area as a whole isn't very friendly

Whoops. I had written out that little post at the bottom, then decided to give a more detailed post but forgot to delete and now time has run out for me to edit. Oh well.
