I've been tempted to turn the AC on, but so far I'd rather have the windows open since the breeze is pleasant. Also, something inside me rebels at the idea of turning on the AC in April.

We turned it on Saturday night, it was too hot and we couldn't sleep even with the windows open.

We sure have! I prefer open windows too, but we all have such bad pollen allergies that we would have been way too sick if we'd cooled down via crossbreeze.

LOL, that's a good point. We have screens on the windows, but some pollen go through, anyway. I found a light yellow dusting on my coffee maker this morning.

We turned ours on Sunday morning. I was hoping that having the windows open Saturday night would cool things down enough, but it sure didn't. I think it only got down to like 77 that night, which isn't enough to keep the house cool when it got up to 96 degrees sunday.

We opened the windows last night, which was nice, since it got down to 65, but the AC is running now, trying to keep the house cool. We keep it set at 80 upstairs, and 79 down, so I don't feel too bad about running it.

I am generally cheap with the AC, but I did break down and turn it on late Saturday/early Sunday. I love having the windows open during the day!

After a busy Saturday, we turned ours on. At night I attempted to just open the bedroom window for fresh air but my lady the penguin was too warm to snuggle against me.

The AC has been on 24/7 ever since, albeit between 70-75. If she had it her way, it would be like 65-70. Of course, we have the same "problem" in the winter... with the same temperature preferences. LOL

Heck yeah! It's been too warm to sleep comfortably otherwise, at least in my apartment. I prefer open windows for a lot of reasons, but in the end comfortable sleep beats all else!

yep. it's been too hot not to and we can't open the windows/doors b/c of the high pollen count - my son and I are too allergic. We keep it at 77 -79 depending on time of day.

Same here. I have infant twins, so I have to work with their comfort level too. I am really looking forward to the rain tonight.
