Help finding a cat sitter in 22315
Can anyone recommend a good cat sitter in the 22315 area? I would need them for work travel, occasional weekends and also for Christmas week every year; probably to come by 1x/day. The most important thing is care of the cats so I want someone, or a company, that is very responsible and will take some time in their visits. Someone who is a Vet Tech would be a bonus, but not required.
If anyone can recommend a great cat sitter I would much appreciate it! Thanks!

I would be interested in the name of a cat/dog sitter as well. I know my vet has a few names be she knows them from bringing their pets in, not from how reliable they are as sitters. I am in the same zip..
Thanks!

I use Welcome Waggin' and they are great. They do work in Alexandria but I am not sure in all zips. One of my cats is on a lot of meds and they are completely reliable about getting there during the specified window and administering the meds.
Ann Mehrten of At Home Cat Care is also fabulous. My sister-in-law was very impressed when I was visiting there and Ann called because of a concern about one of the pets, that fortunately turned out to be no problem. She said she has never been able to find anyone who would do that.

Thanks for your recommendations. I contacted Welcome Waggin and they got right back to me with references. She mentioned that they take occasional trips and so no one is available for sitting while they're away - has that ever been a problem for you?
Along the same line - would you be able to recommend a good Vet? So far I was thinking either Springfield Animal Hospital or Kingstowne Cat Clinic. 2 of my cats are on prescription diets and have some medical concerns.
Thank you again!

Hi, It's never been a problem for me because Ann Merhten is available when WW is not. As for a vet, the one I use isn't very close to you.
Hope it works out!

When we lived near that area several years ago, we used Belle Haven Animal Medical Centre and saw Dr. Donahue and Dr. Kasprenski: Belle Haven Animal Medical Centre I think they provide excellent care.

I would highly recommend Springfield Animal Hospital. Between them and the Veterinary Referral Center (which is literally just down the street), I was able to prolong my cat's life.

I don't know where your zip is (I have dial-up so I don't do instant research..lol) - but we've always used Alexandria Animal Hospital - nothing but good things to say about them.
