Hi All,

I have just moved to Reston for my new job. I am looking for an apartment in Herndon or Reston area with indian communities.I am specifically looking for Indian community apartments for my wife and 1.5 year old kid.

All the apartments that I visited are not telling me if they have indian community also staying there.
Can someone please suggest some apartments within the range of 1800$ per month(2 bedroom) where we have large indian community.

Thanks a lot.

All apartments around clock tower in Herndon have a good amount of Indians.
This strip mall also has Indian grocery store/restaurants.

Just visit a few apartments in the evening and you will meet lot of Indians. You can chat with them to get their experience.

In addition to Clock Tower, just about every complex along Sunrise Valley Drive from Reston Parkway to Clock Tower will also have a healthy Indian population.

That 1800/month rent is right in the middle for a 2BR in Herndon you should have multiple options. Reston your dollar won't go as far, but you may find a couple places.

That is because it is against Federal discrimination law to provide that information. You have received good advice. I dropped someone off on Coppermine Dr. today and there were plenty of people to approach if you wanted to learn more about the area.

Lightbulb Maybe this can help you find what you're looking for

You can find out more information about Fair Housing laws on the following website:

https://www.justice.gov/crt/fair-housing-act-1#race

Professionals in the housing industry are trained to stay away from these types of discussion for fear of violating fair housing laws.

There's a way for you to conduct independent research based on the Census data. You can use City Data to find the racial makeup of any zip code.

Court at Dulle is located in the 20171 zip code. City Data has census information on this zip code through the following link:

http://www.city-data.com/zips/20171.html

Right under the above graph, you can manipulate the map to look for areas with the highest concentration of a given race based on the census data.

This is the only research-based approach I can think of that will help you find a higher concentration of any race or ethnic group.

Keep in mind, Census data is not updated on a regular basis. I believe it's collected every 10 years and 2010 was the last time it was collected. That means that you're looking at projections on City-Data.

Good luck with your search.
