I'm buying a house that was built in 1987 and just received a report that there are some termites issue. I would like to get get a structural inspection done. Any recommendation on a company that can do this?

Your agent should certainly have some recommendations.

I don't know of anyone, but I'd suggest making sure it's a suggestion from your agent and not the seller.

I would think if you cannot locate a structural engineer, the next best bet would be a Class A contractor that has been doing remodeling work for over 20 years.

Or, call a competing termite company and ask them for who they recommend when someone requires repair. Avoid the ones with an in-house construction division. (avoid Orkin, this is not their niche). And if worse comes to worse, do call a competitor with the construction division and see if they say the same.
