Over thanksgiving while in NC, had the family SUV serviced at a national tire store (alignment & balance). The store severely damaged our vehicle and their insurance is paying to fix it. But, we need to get it back to VA to the dealership near us. So, need a vehicle shipping company that can pick it up and drop it off. 200 miles. Car runs and can be driving onto truck. Anyone have any recommendations of shippers they've used before for vehicles? We're all transplants around here mostly, figured might be a good crowd to ask!

In case if you're wondering what happened. Well, let's just say that it's good business practice to make sure all 4 wheels are actually bolted to the car before taking the test drive at the end of the service.....

Shouldn't they be responsible for shipping it back?

They're insurance company is going to pay for it, but we're not talking about the sharpest tools in the shed here. If it were up to them, Crazy Cooter would tow it here, not realizing that you can't tow an AWD vehicle.

We had something similar happen but our insurance (USAA) also handled the logistics of getting the car moved. Don't remember the shipping company though. We are making the move across country in December and after a lot of frustration with auto shipping brokers just decided that we are going to drive the cars ourselves.

Thanks all, they got the vehicle here this week. Cost them about $1,500 to do so via flatbed, but oh well. Costing them several more to repair it and make me whole for diminutive value adjustment.
