My husband's job was transferred to Tysons. Of course the commute is horrendous on the 66 and 495. Will getting an EZ Pass help? Anyone know of any back roads he should take?

There is no harm in getting an EZ Pass. I'm not sure it would help, but maybe if he got on 495 at Braddock. Honestly, he's probably best off just using whatever route Waze suggests on a daily basis.

Agreed. I can imagine some interesting routes it would come up with.

He can try 66 to one of the Vienna exits and then 123(chain bridge) down tysons. I made this commute from Clifton for a few years . It sucks any way you slice it. I usually preferred going through Vienna.

There are no back roads anymore. Only alternate routes! We used to live in Greenbriar 14-years ago and couldn't take the hour commute to Tysons anymore. We moved to Fairfax off of Prosperity Ave, and reduced it to 40-minutes! Good luck!
