Nice...I am an independent contractor, so it's all up to me to pay it.

In that case, you are more than correct about convenience. My TLC pass demagnitizes consistently by about the 5th of the month. Making for a very interesting commute as I hold it up and show the station manager for the next 25 days every month hoping to avoid making a lengthy explanation.

8 hours work
1/2 hour lunch
6 hours sleep

you are already at 20 hours in a 24 hour day.
I bet your kids miss you

Man i couldnt take it anymore and moved to raleigh
I have lived here long enough to ***** when my commute went from 20 minutes to 25....
I used to do about 2 hours each way when i lived up there
it was wonderful to gain about three hours of life.

Not really, we worked out a plan with our team at work to do 5 hours of on-site work, and the rest at home. Plus we get 1 work-from home day.

VRE, are you able to get a laptop or Blackberry to do some of the off-site work during your commute? Maybe your company would pay for it?

Default Manassas to Arlington?

Suppose one was living in Manassas and wanted to commute to Arlington by driving to the Vienna/Fairfax metro stop and then riding the Metro. How long would that commute take? Specifically I'm interested in how long the drive would take at typical rush hour times to/from Manassas from/to the Vienna metro stop.
