River Place in Rosslyn
Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a condo in River Place in Rosslyn. Has anyone lived there or know anything about it? Any info?
Thanks!

My girlfriend lived there when they were apartments. They're old, but some have a nice view.
But, the main reason I reponded was to let you know that this is not the usual condo situation. The condo assn does NOT OWN THE LAND! It's under some kind of long term lease....which maybe OK for your purposes. But check into it before you buy.

River Place, Rosslyn VA
It is the best location, convenient to Metro. There are 4 buildings. South building has a gym. There are indoor parking available. It will be a good investment. They are the lowest priced units in Rossly. Though the buildings were built in the 50s, they were renovated in 1980s and they are kept up to date by current management. What size unit are you looking to buy?

I work near River Place, and I have heard mixed reviews about it.
Some people love the location (being 2 blocks from the Rosslyn Metro), but I would recommend living in Courthouse or Clarendon instead. Rosslyn is a fairly safe area, but it is more of a "9-to-5" neighborhood since it is almost all office buildings.

I'm thinking that this would be an ideal location for a just-out-of-college, young professional who's on a budget but wants to be in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor. In other words, someone like me. River Place, here I come!
...At least until I can afford to live in the Odyssey.

Thanks everyone, for the info. I decided not to live there. The land lease makes that place a depreciating property. I'd rather have my home appreciate in value.

The airport noise is unbearable. I get woken up at 7 am on the weekends. Planes arrive every five minutes; one is flying by as a type this.
