There is no service that beats Verizon anywhere in the DC area. I've been here since before the advent of the cell phone and have used every major service there is between personal phones and multiple work phones. While I'm now outside the NOVA area I'm still close. My work just switched from Verizon to AT&T and what a mess this has been. AT&T has had to place a COW (cell on wheels vehicle) on site so they don't lose the contract. (Govt site) They say once the fiber optic is installed we'll see an improvement. Maybe around the job but once leaving you're back in cell purgatory. None can beat Verizon's service.

I'm afraid I don't have any recommendations for a particular retail store. We typically order our phones online.
