I stopped at Mill Creek Farm Market in Wye Mills last weekend on my way home from the beach. I always load up on Amish/Mennonite food products while I am there. I particularly like their range of spices and mixes. I sometimes pick up bulk purchases at various spots when I am in Appalachia, and at Yoders Farm Market in Madison VA. I also used to shop at the Amish Market in Charlotte Hall when I visited Southern Maryland regularly. I am looking for something that does not require a long drive.

I previously thought I could do this online, but the Amish tend not to market heavily online. I have seen a very few Amish/Mennonite products in a few places, such as Naills Produce in Kingstowne. Is anyone aware of any stores that offer a wide variety of Amish/Mennonite spices/mixes/snacks in Northern Virginia within 5 miles of the Beltway?

Check the farmer's markets in your area. I know there's a Mennonite family that sets up at Falls Church market on Saturdays. I don't know about the spice mixes -- I'm after their good pork -- but they have a lot of different baked goods, a variety of meats, eggs and butter.

Thank you weezycom, I am already familiar with most of the local farmers markets. I am looking for bulk spices/mixes etc. not meat and produce. I can get bulk spices at many of the international stores, but I am looking for Amish brands such as Jake and Amos.

Not close to the Beltway but since you’re looking for bulk, you could take infrequent trips and it’s a nice drive. Feed their collection of birds and goats by hand. And grab some lunch for yourself.

They also offer online shopping.

Closest one to NoVA is probably Dutch Village in Upper Marlboro, MD. They have a pretty big selection of spices and spice mixes.

Perhaps Battlefield Country Store on Rt. 3/Plank Rd. Just west of Fredericksburg.
https://www.visitfred.com/battlefield-country-store. They have a Facebook page. Be aware though, they aren’t open on Sundays. I believe they also have a store, different name, in Culpepper.

Pretty sure there are amish/mennonites at the Old Town Alexandria Farmers Market.

Thank you everyone.

I am already familiar with Yoders but I have not heard of Ole Country Market. I don't go by Upper Marlboro, but I will check it out. It's been a couple years since I have been to Fredericksburg, but I used to live there, so maybe it's time for another visit when it isn't so brutally hot.

I talked offline with someone else and found a country store sort of like what I was looking for, though it's over 5 miles from the Beltway near Clifton MD. It's about 11 miles south of the Beltway following backroads thanks to my GPS. It has the meats and produce, lots of bulk spices and snacks, more "country" snacks like cracklins and fried okra. They have a wide variety of jams, jellies and jarred produce under their own label - Miller Farms. They have a small nursery with various flowers and plants grown on the farm. What made it worth the trip to me is that their vegetable plants are amazingly cheap, I saved about 2/3 of what those plants cost me at nurseries around the Beltway.

I really like Miller Farms for their bakery. Great donuts. Would not have thought of them for spices but definitely good to know.
