Any guess as to how long travel time and a price estimate for a taxi from union station to tysonís Corners? My train arrives at 6 pm on a Friday, so please keep rush hour traffic in mind when you guesstimate. Thanks in advance!!

Given my past experience, a taxi ride from Union Station to Tysons Corner will likely cost around $45-$55 with rush hour traffic. If there is not much traffic at all, then it will likely cost around $45. Good luck in your trip!

Why not use Metrorail?

Yup. My vote would be Metro. Red line to Metro Station and transfer to the Silver line.

What about Lyft or Uber for the trip? It would be cheaper than a taxi.

A few months ago I took a taxi from Reagan Airport to little river turnpike was $35 definitely at Least $50
to Tysons Corner. Metro would be much cheaper option.

It's very hard to get a Uber or Lyft in Union Station because of the amount of cars at the pickup line at Union Station. I tried using Uber last year and it was a total mess, so I ended up taking a taxi instead.

I'd take metrorail to a least Ballston. From there you can catch an Uber/Lyft/taxi.
