Sonic Drive-In has decided to open their first N VA location in Manassas, VA by end of 2018. A friend of mine that works for Prince William County told us recently. The Sonic Drive-In will replace the old Burger King on Balls Ford Road and Sudley Road. The Burger King moved across the street from the old location and built a new Burger King Restaurant (behind the Shell gas station) on Balls Ford Road.

This is great news since the closest location to N VA is in Winchester Road on Route 7 West. All we need now the Bojangles Chicken restaurant to open up. Bojangles is also next to the Sonic Drive-In in Winchester, VA.

Have a good weekend--

I had heard about this, but hadn't heard it would be open before the end of the year! Thanks for that info

Also something I heard several years ago, is that Sonic won't open up "just one" store, that they require the franchise to open at least two? Anyone have any insight on that?

I hate myself for being excited about this.

I also heard that the Chantilly/S. Riding areas might be in the same time frame for opening stores. Yes, Sonic Drive-In opens 3 minimum stores too like most franchises (same as Bojangles).

Yeah after two years of easy access to Sonic in Louisville, Iím over them, especially the food. I did indulge in a cherry limeade from them while I was in Jacksonville for my birthday that was good.

I’m a corn dog fan.
It’s also nostalgia. #Texasnative

That was my impression when I went to one. I've tried it twice with the same result.

I’m also wondering about Bojangles. I’m familiar with it but could you elaborate menmom1? What makes it desirable?
