Hello, I’m looking to move to the Northern Virginia area (not really Arlington) within two months and I’d like to find a condo for rent or an apartment. I need advice from people currently living somewhere they enjoy please! I appreciate it! Here are my stipulations:

- Basically no bugs (no roaches, no water bugs, crickets, spider crickets, ants, mice, rats, constant spiders)
- Fairly updated bathroom
- Thick walls (cannot hear your neighbor’s tv or your neighbor’s conversations or your neighbor’s sex (yuck))
- Below $1900 a month for a one bedroom
- Can walk/shuttle/bus to the metro or short drive less than 5 miles

I know this isn’t impossible to have so no naysayers. Just folks that are having a great experience somewhere reasonably priced and quiet.

Thank you so much!

Check out any apartment complex located in the 22315 zip code. All them have 1 bedroom units under $2,000. Try to find a top floor unit to reduce the noise you hear from your neighbors.

I stayed at the elms for 2 or 3 years and had little to no complaints. You can hop on a bus right in front of the complex and it will take you to the Springfield metro.

You can consider Burke area also if you can consider VRE commuter train and/or slugging rideshare options
