Ha! Well, please don't go when I'm going!

We went to the Autumfest this past October and the weather was excellent! Chilly but no snow or rain. I think it rained at night.

Default Amish country?

What about Amish country in PA? Is that within 5 hours? This is partially a suggestion, and partially a question on my behalf.. I've been wanting to go there also...

Lancaster is beautiful but doesn't really describe what the OP is looking for. We usually go there once a year. I guess from DC it could be about 2.5 hours.

I don't know what type of vacation you are looking for but Lancaster is a dry town and a lot of things are closed on Sunday and Monday.
