Does anyone live in NoVa and live in WV?
I'm curious, I did a search for real estate and did it within a 50 mile radius from Middletown, VA - the first on my list that came up available meeting our criteria was in Capon Bridge, WV. Any other folks live in WV but work in VA??
Just curious....

I know some people live in Harper's Ferry, WV and commute to Dulles area daily. So I guess its doable, at least the drive is beautiful!

FYI, the taxes are higher in WV than in Frederick County, VA. But WV might be OK for you since you don't have kids in school.

Hmmm.. Interesting to know. You know though, it's been fun learning all of this and educating myself by talking to people like you who live there and know it. The job interview just happened last week, so we are anxiously waiting to hear about round II of interviewing.

Well good luck. I'm sure if he gets the job, you'll find the perfect place to live.

Another PS, have you posted on the WV board and asked about horses and commuting?

I used to drive thru Capon Bridge about once a month to visit my family in WVA. Really pretty area, but at the bleeding edge of the Washington DC commuting community. Doable most of the year, but it would be reeeeaaaalllllllly problematic in heavy winter conditions, which arrive early and stay late in that spot. Capon Bridge is mind blowingly beautiful in the fall.
Taxes are higher in WVA, but they do give some breaks to retired federal and RR workers.
