..fears classroom, teacher and other students. says, "nobody talks to me", "i am afraid to go to school". This is in Loudoun county. Has anyone seen this before? Thoughts?

my thought is kick this kids in the rear end, and get back in school. Someday he needs to learn

i said that to my mom back when i was in middle school. her response: Too bad, have your behind ready in 5 min.

Well - I know Fairfax County has tons of Asians mixed in with the whites at school but not sure about Loudoun - maybe the kid has special problems and needs to go to a private school.

At some Fairfax Co high schools (West Potomac specifically) the ethnic kids get bullied harder and pressured to join gangs. A friend of my in-laws had an adopted Guatemalan kid who hung himself a little while ago over the gang pressures at West Potomac. I don't know anything about Louden County, but I think it would be a good idea to at least ask this kid what he's afraid of. How old it your kid, what grade is he in?

oh yea , sheltering your kids is going to solve a huge load of problems. Why dont you just home school them, or better yet lock them inside their room!

You know, it's perfectly possible that there's a real problem here. If I had said what that kid said during high school then it would have been for a lot of good reasons.
