Default Rolling Valley Swim & Tennis - Springfield

I just arrived in NOVA a few weeks ago, and I'm looking for houses in the 22152 area. Some of them have been very near the Rolling Valley Swim & Tennis club just off of Hadlow Dr. When I've driven by the place, I haven't seen much action since it's still kinda cold (and I read they don't fully open till late May).

I'm wondering if anyone knows what it's like in the summer time? Is it crowded? Is it boisterous and noisy? Would living right across the street be annoying? Are there thugs that hang out in the parking lot after hours?

I'm just trying to get a feel for the place without waiting until summer time to find out for myself.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

I'm not familiar with this swim club, but we live very close to our swim club in another part of Fairfax County. If you have kids, or enjoy swimming and tennis on your own, you will love living within walking distance. I checked the club's website, and (unlike some others in Nova), it does not have a waiting list to join. RVSTC | Rolling Valley Swim and Tennis Club, Springfield, VA If this is a typical club, the only real noise/crowded parking conditions will happen during swim meets. Most clubs have between 6-8 home meets on Saturday mornings and Monday evenings during the summer. The Saturday meets start at 9 am, but setup/warmups begin before 8 am, and sometimes the starters' horn or the PA system can be bothersome to neighbors who like to sleep in on weekends.
Otherwise, you should not have a problem. You should only expect a parking lot "thug" issue if the neighborhood is otherwise a "thug" neighborhood, which is unlikely.

LC the Cow is on a distinguished road
We've been members for years and are very happy with it. The staff is friendly and we like having the 3 separate pools b/c the different age groups just naturally congregate together (in other words, the bigger kids don't demolish the littler kids as much as we've experienced in other pools where it goes from baby-pool depth to diving board depth in one pool). The swim team has a nice coach, though our daughter hasn't participated. They take a pretty laid back approach to it and don't push the kids to the point that they feel bad if they don't win.
