Lightbulb Manassas to Rockville

I just bought a TH in manassas, zip 20109. I would like to know if the commute to Shady grove hospital in Rockville,MD is a reasonable commute. I start work at 7 pm and finish at 7: 30 am. Will I be against traffic or its just the same.
Another thing my son will be at george Mullen elementary school the other one in Stonewall high school. I have heard about Stonewall is a good school. How about Mullen? my son is on IEP program. Do i have a choice what school he goes to, I have seen an elementary school right next to Stonewall High school. We fall within Mullen school zone.

SJHS has gone down the crapper. 33% on lunch subsidy. Drive by there at about 1:00pm during the week. I don't think all those kids are suppose to be off school grounds. Manassas kind of sucks--but commuting to Rockville?

Mannassas to Rockville would be rough. My dad drives from prince william county to rockville daily but leaves at off hours and has a hybrid which he bought early enough that he is allowed in the HOV lanes. Getting there generally won't be too bad on average but will be unpredictable and has the potential to be bad at times. Though traffic has thinned out at that point most days, 7pm isn't late enough to reliably avoid rush hour. Getting home will be pretty terrible as it is the height of rush hour.... the i-270 & i-495 (beltway) portion of your trip will be ugly, after that not too bad. I wouldn't want to guess on time, but I'd say you're looking at 90 minutes with the potential for good days to be a little bit less and bad days to be a lot more.

I'd find either a different place to work or live myself.
