Where would you recommend my husband and I with 3 young children move to in Loudoun County or Fairfax? We started looking into Broadlands in Ashburn, but my husband is nervous about the commute. What great/newer communities with great schools are closest to the Fairfax County Parkway? He has been told by a few people at work that the easiest commute from out that way would be to get on the Fairfax County Parkway. Thanks for any advice!!! Sorry, this thread is posted twice, I put it under Fort as opposed to Ft which I did the first time. Could not find it under Ft. Thanks!!!

Yes I did get a few responses, but we are trying to get as much advice as we can. We are currently in Woodbridge and would love to move ASAP. If not Loudoun County, maybe there are people who can contribute more ideas. Thanks for your reply!

If I were your husband, I would be saying to myself "no thank you honey". Serioulsy the gas price is going to stab you in the throat, then the commute will seal the killing.

We live in Berryville and my husband commutes to Ft. Belvoir every day. It is a 1 1/2 hour commute for him without traffic, 2 hours with traffic. Luckily enough he has a company vehicle. From Loudoun County, it depends on where you will be living. Western part of Loudoun, it will be about the same commute. If you are in the Eastern part, it might not be that bad.

I would be looking at Fairfax Station. They have large, newer beautiful houses on much bigger, wooded lots . Specifically, I would be looking at the area near Burke Lake south of Fairfax County Parkway for easy access. You could also use the back roads to get to work as well. I believe the commute to Fort Belvoir would be easy.
