New Family 22191 Woodbridge
Hello My family is from Fairfax County and is just about to move into our first SFH in Murumsco Woods and we are not familiar with Prince William County and this area. We are a small young family, with a two year old.
My husband is going to commute to DC most weekdays and some weekends.
We would like to know...
What sort of family activitys can we do here and what sort of REC centers are here.
What sort of community events are here.
Is it a good idea for my hubby to drive to Springfield Metro to get on Metro on 95 or RT1. In the morning? Noon? 6pm? and 11pm?
Thank you for your time and help ^_^

VEIK, Thank you for the advice. What is a Slug line? Wow I feel silly for not knowing. And is Omni Ride faster? (is looking it up)
Thanks ^_^

Slug line is people getting together and car pooling to work.
Usually 2-3 people (when HOV2 or HOV3 ie - 2-3 people to car minimum), get into one car and drive together.

There is a number of locations around DC area where people do that
Google Commuter Connections, I think they have a forum there.

I mean driving the the last thing you guys want to do.
Its far, traffic on 95, unless you slug, is horrible at the 395-495 merge.
I dont know how people do it

Neither do I, We were looking into him taking VRE but it would coast so much for each pass, and it would not work to get a one month pass when he works odd hours and works some weekends.
