Anyway, you might also want to check out Marshall, VA. It's about 35 miles west of Fairfax on I-66 in Fauquier County, and has reasonable single family homes in your price range. It's also a very family-oriented area in which you might feel comfortable.

TheseGoTo11 - Thank you, I will be taken Manassas out of my list. I see that Marshall, VA is a few minutes away from Belvoir, a place where I received a recommendation not to take in consideration because there we have a gang problem. Is that tru?.

Alanboy395 - I also agree in not considering MD as one of my choices.
Regarding your question, I beleive in God and support my self and Family with the bible, we try to follow the bible guidelines, specifically the time where Jesus was born until his death. We beleive in Jesus and his reason that made him come to our world, we try to follow his steps. I do not know what relegion is, we always look for the one that meets our beleives.

I can only speak for the areas I know. The Burke (22015), West Springfield (22152) and parts of Fairfax close to these areas (e.g., Kings Park West, Middleridge, Country View Estates, Fairfax Club Estates, Bonnie Brae) have many of your critera. We live in this area and are very pleased with the neighborhood, amenities and services. Like a PP said, you will have your choice of a church too. There are numerous churches in the area; we have friends who travel from DC and City of Alexandria to attend church in Burke.

Take "Nova" off your list -- that's short for "Northern Virginia" and refers to all of the VA suburbs of DC. It's not a town or neighborhood. I recommend Ashburn for you.
I think you'll like your neighbors better the farther out you go, and you'll find some good deals on realestate out there now.

You gotta pick max 1-2 areas, and search for the good priced property in that area.

House searching takes a lot of time, consider that in one day you really see maybe what 5 houses?

If you find a good agent, they should be able to show you 25 in a day in Virginia.
