Could anyone teel me if Floyd Ave in Springfield Va is a safe community? We are military and are looking at a home on that street, we have two children and want to find a safe neighborhood.

Is Floyd the main drag? I seem to recall that as a place where friends used to live. Sorry nobody has answered that lives in Springfield. If that's where I'm thinking, it was a nice house...check online for the crime reports, etc. - personally, if I had children though, I wouldn't live on a main road (people drive CRAZY~ LOL)

I think it is near the main street, but I am not sure since I have never been to the area. I hope someone can give me some info soon.

I too think it's a pretty busy road. Main cut through type of thing.
It's just west of the mall area as well.

Hopefully someones who is more familiar with springfield will anwser....

The part of Floyd near Brookfield Park is nice. The other side of Hanover is not as nice, and Lynbrook Elementary has turned into a piคata party. I was first, a Washington Star carrier there, then later on The Post. That Presbyterian Church is immaculate.
