Hello all!

My husband and I are considering a move to Central / North NJ. Both of us would be telecommuting. We'd like to purchase a large home (~3500 sq ft) with at least half an acre land. We are looking for neighborhoods that feel like Reston or Ashburn. Ideally, we would also like to be no more than 40 minutes drive to NYC for some city life/entertainment. Home budget is around 800 K- 1.2 M.

What are the nicest towns or areas you would buy a home in? We love nature, but also would love not be in the middle of nowhere (i.e. short drive to big box stores and groceries).

Thanks for your advice!

Try Fairlawn NJ. I haven't been there in 20 years but it has lots of trees and strip plazas.
