Cool Housing for FBI Intership in Quantico

My son has an internship that begins May 31st and ends August 9th. Does anyone have a suggestion for finding a furnished, one bedroom, short term rental? What would be the best location to try. He will be driving up, so he will have transportation.

Thanks for any info
Cindy

Has he requested into from the FBI? If they don't have a class going through he might be able to rent one of the rooms on the facility pretty cheaply. If not, he also might be able to secure a BAQ (Bachelors Officers Quarteres) at The Base there.
I don't know what they have avail for interns, but ask all they can say is no.

Fredericksburg is the closest city of size, and is pretty neat. it also might have younger singles to hang out with etc... but Traffic up to Quantico will be very heavy. Stafford is south as well but a bit closer.

Parts of woodbridge would probably do for a short term rental...but I have no idea what areas to steer you in, some areas can be pretty rough.

Good luck

The FBI will not provide housing, but thanks for the heads up on the Base info!

It might be a little late, but you can keep an eye out for Mary Washington students looking to sublet their place in Fredericksburg. Traffic's not the best north to Quantico, but it's manageable. There will be fewer younger people in F'burg during the summer, since college is out, but there will probably be more than other areas. It's also a cute town with a decent amount to do, and it seems that the people in Quantico and Dahlgren always end up there to go out.

And (being his parent I'm assuming you'll like this) it's very safe. I went there for college and never had any problems.

Thanks for the info on Fredericksburg. I know it is late to be looking but, unfortunately his security clearance just came in last week!

Default quantico housing

I have a lovely townhome available just two miles north of Quantico. There is National Forest around it and has 3 levels with ceramic and wood and sunroon, fireplace. 540 220 2607

If only needed short term, try looking for a roommate, furnished room, etc. try craigslist.

I am interning with the FBI this January and I have no clue where I am staying as of yet. I am beginning to look. I plan to email them and see if they have the list of recommended places to rent that they mentioned. I want to get on this ASAP.

Cat, I will be interning this January as well, so we should definitely get in touch about possibilities.
