Although we liked the houses in Brooke Farm, the concern that we had is that it backs up to a large apartment complex and older townhouses.
There is a lot of pedestrian traffic in that apartment complex. In fact, when we were looking at an open house there, there were some teenagers on bikes that kept riding through the open road from the apartment complex to Brooke Farm. In addition, across from the community is a huge hill, where teenagers ride dirt bikes and do many tricks. Although the community itself seemed fairly safe, it also felt as if many of the people from the neighboring apartment complex would stroll casually through the neighborhood as well.
It is close to commuter lots and I-95, which may be a benefit during rush hour. Also, as you may know, the realtor told us that Brooke Farm is intending to close the road that leads into the apartment complex.
The downside is we went to see this house in Brooke Farm and if you look out the window, or if you are in driveway, you can face the back of the apartment complex and can see all of the neighbors and vice versa.
Good luck with your search. When you visit it, you will get a feel for the area.
