Default Alexandria: What is the nicest movie theatre in the area?

Are there any fairly new with stadium seating with seats that recline?
Safe to drive and park at, and well lit at night?

Thank you in advance for you opinions!

I like the AMC Hoffman Town Center a lot. The seats are very comfortable. If you go during the week, you'll pay a couple bucks to park in the garage. On the weekends, you can use the surface parking usually reserved for Hoffman Building employees. The Regal Potomac Yards and AMC Kingstowne (actually in the Alexandria "section" of Fairfax County may be just as nice and have free parking but I have yet to see a movie at either. For some old-school charm, check out the Old Town theater on King Street.

I'll second the AMC Hoffman. I can't remember the last time I saw a movie that WASN'T at Hoffman Center. Stadium seating, comfortable, fairly new, convenient to get to, it's an all-in-all decent theater.

The Kingstowne movie theaters are very nice (only a couple of years old), with surface parking and a free parking garage:

There are plenty of casual restaurants in the same complex. On Friday evenings from May through October there's a farmer's market:

Also in summer there's a free Friday night concert series, but I haven't seen a schedule yet.

Forgot to add, it's very safe and during summer they usually have a few police officers around to make sure it stays that way.

AMC Hoffman's probably the "nicest" (new, escalators, reminds me of the theater at Universal Studios). Regal Potomac Yard is nice too, I believe it has stadium seating, but it's a tad smaller than Hoffman.

Old Town Theatre is just different. It has a bar and real food (i.e. paninis, etc.), and has an historic feel (obviously). The price is actually a bit less than Hoffman too, so if they're playing something you want to see it'd be fun to check out.

The theaters at Kingstowne are brand new, comfortable and very nice. There is plenty of parking available in the parking garages. Plus there is a wide variety of shopping and dining in that area.

Hoffman is nice. If you are willing to drive a few minutes over to Arlington, the Cinema and Drafthouse is great because you can order food and choice beverages (not exactly referring to soda) while watching the movie.
