Cascade at Landmark. Any opinions?
My current place is raising the rent to unreasonable levels (for me at least), so I'm considering a move. The West End of Alexandria is convenient to my work and also near some of my friends, so I figured I'd concentrate on this area first.
Doing some research on apartments.com, Cascade at Landmark seems like it fits many of my criteria and also my budget. I'm somewhat familiar with the neighborhood from driving through it and it seems OK to me. I've checked apartmentratings.com and the building doesn't seem to be rated too badly. Anyone on this board have anything positive/negative to say about this place?

There are like 7 or 8 high-rises in an boxed area which borders are Van Dorn St to the east, Duke St to the North, 395 to the West, and Edsall Rd to the South. In that box i would say that the Cascade is the nicest of them all, even over my high-rise.

Looks like you and the other poster were right, because by the time I got there, all the apartments I wanted to look at had already been rented out! I did look at one unit, which was pretty nice, but the only stuff they had left was a little higher than my price range.
