Hey all, I may be moving to NOVA at the end of the year for a gov. job. Does anyone know if most apartments offer discounts for government employees, and if so, how much of a discount? Thanks a bunch.

I believe it is on a case-by-case basis so you probably would have to ask each property that you're interested in. There are lots of government employees obviously so, especially with today's economy, I think many renters' incentives are being reduced, if not eliminated. It's a little easier if you're military but otherwise I think that the places that are most likely to offer govt. discounts are inconvenient locations and are looking to increase their occupancy.

I would not characterize the OP as lazy, since OP is not from the area. The OP is seeking help, which is why this board exists...

I feel like I've seen 5% for govt, teachers, police etc. but I don't think it is very universal

Completely different topic asking for people's experience, not to spoon feed me lists of apartments.

That was not for me, BTW, I am not poor.

Carl you should probably work on your driving skills rather than search my old posts given your recent reckless conviction.
