We recently relocated to NoVA. I would like to clip grocery coupons but have had a few problems so far. When I buy the Washington Post on Sundays I've only gotten 1 of the 3 major coupon booklets (SmartSource, RedPlum, or P&G) each week. This week I only got the P&G booklet, last week it was only the RedPlum flyer. Am I buying the wrong paper? Anyone else clip coupons and have the same problem?

Thanks!

It's kind of funny you mention this, because I used to live out in D.C. before moving to Denver, and I got this Sunday's Denver Post. Well as it turns out, I only received the P&G booklet like you. Normally I will get the three others though. It's kind of odd, but maybe nationally they only sent out one coupon book.

That's the options that come in the post (holiday weekends there are either none or maybe a small P&G insert), usually you get 2-3 inserts on Sundays. Sadly, the coupon "people" haven't been printing good coupons for awhile now, and it seems like less and less all the time.

I've become a bit of a coupon addict - especially with all of the great shops in NoVA. Clipping paper coupons takes care of some of the stores I shop in, but I would recommend using an online coupon site as a supplement.

Try Retail-Me-Not or Coupon Cabin, and go to the sections of these sites that say "printable coupons":
Printable Coupons - CouponCabin (http://www.couponcabin.com/printable-coupons/index.htm - broken link)

Somtimes the stores have their own website you can subscribe to and get coupons. I get a newsletter e-mailed to me from my store and they have tons of coupons I can print out at home.

I got the P&G booklet as well, no other coupons. The coupons are getting worse, unfortunately. Good thing is that many grocery stores in the area double them up to a certain amount.

Thanks everyone. I'm happy to know that my experience is not unique. I'll try to good ole Post a few more weeks to see if there's anymore luck. In the meantime I'll try some of the sites and methods recommended.

I'm getting upset regarding this whole grocery coupons in the Sunday paper thing... this week, no coupons in the Post. I talked to my mom in New York and she had coupons in her paper... why not here?

Anyone else? It seems like the Post has tons of stories about the economy but no coupons to lighten the burden. Should I be buying a different paper than the Sunday Post?

Hmm I got a couple of coupon booklets in my paper. I think it's been only holidays where I didn't see coupons with the paper. They typically throw out my Sunday sales ads out on my yard on Friday or Saturday in a seperate delivery. Why oh why can't they use my newspaper box?
