Where are Asians in NoVA?
I'm wondering which areas in DC/NoVa have a lot of Asians?
On my visit to DC, I saw few Asians. I did see a few at tyson's corner mall. But really, not many asians in DC/Nova?
I'm a single (late 20's) and want to live in a lively area with people around my age. Would Arlington/alexandria be the best bet?
Can anyone who knows the area better give some feedback

Annandale is Koreatown, but Centreville is catching up.
Falls Church (the unincorporate Fairfax County part) is home to many Southeast Asians....especially Vietnamese and Cambodians.

If someone asked where the White people were in Northern VA, they would be banned!
Northern Va is full of people from Asia why would that make any difference where you want to live?

That would be known as Merrifield, zip 22042. Near Fairfax/very western Falls Church. Loads of Koreans, Indians, with High Tech jobs etc..Check out the Super H Mart-its the best supermarket for Asian food. I can't read half the stuff but its awesome!
I've seen the SE Asian restaurants etc (Lots of Pho shops) but I think they live more towards Arlington/Falls Church.

Actually I don't think he's looking for people from Asia - I think he's looking for any Asian-Americans. If the OP is Asian he probably wants to make sure he'll live someplace where he feels welcome, or where he can meet other people who share his background, understand certain things, or share similar experiences. Sometimes people feel uncomfortable being the only __________ person in a neighborhood or a town.
To answer the OP's question, I lived in that area for a short time, but that was 7 years ago. I think the posters above have good suggestions.

Whenever anyone has expressed wanting to live in an area that is NOT diverse (ie predominately white) They really do get jumped all over esp in the NOVA forum.
So, it really is a double edged sword. how ccome an Asian person can express a desire to live where most Asians live and get helpful resonses. BUT a white person asks for help for an area that is mostly white and they get labled a racist? (I admit a have jumped on few who don't want diversity etc...)
It was a good question. (IMHO)

Wherever you find the Asian population there is also the same population of Illegal immigrants. So it's a double edge sword
