Beagles are hounds and they will bark as Terriers do. Both dog breeds could go shopping all day with it's owner and still bark, regardless of whether the owner is home or not!

Not to quibble, but some terriers bark alot, but beagles were BRED to bark. That's right, they bark as they hunt so will bark for absolutely no reason other then it feels good. Don't buy a beagle unless you want a barker.
