Default Triangle new home community

Recently we've been looking at the new home community in Triangle by Ryan Homes called Cramer's Ridge. I'm a little concerned about Triangle though. I've noticed that buildings are coming down on Rt 1 just before Quantico. What kind of build up is taking place? Is it becoming better, safer? Any advice from the community?

Buildings might be coming down due to widening of Route 1. That is why the Globe and Laurel restaurant closed and moved.

Default your opinion?

What is your opinon about the area? The community is on Fuller Heights Rd. Just before entering the Q gate you turn left and the community is down that road.

I know the neighborhood. There are new housing starts and I think the immediate area has changed a little, but I don't think of it being very nice through Triangle and Dumfries. If you want to be near this end of the county, maybe try going north of there and west of I95 a bit. New houses are being built in neighborhoods like Lake Terrapin. Houses a few years old can be found in Lake Terrapin, Ashland, Winding Creek. They are only about 4 miles west of 95 and have community ammenities such as a clubhouse and pool. Have you checked out Port Potomac?

Default Port Potomac

I live in Port Potomac now. The have amenities that were promised but are not being delivered and the HOA does not take care of the community. I'm actually considering Stafford.

I appreciate your opinions and advice.

That's interesting, and too bad. Are you looking at new, or would a home a few years old be ok?

Triangle isn't very nice. They can "improve" it with a new road all they want, it's the same place. I wouldn't move there.

Default True

I believe I'm in agreement. They may clean it up but not enough and especially considering the housing market.

Thanks!

The apartments on Fuller Height have had really bad drug problems for years. The surrounding area is pretty bad as well. They are widening Rt.1 due to really bad traffic issues (people use it as to get around 95 traffic).
