Anyone have any feedback (good or bad) on The Village Park area (Falmead Road)? Looks like a good area, close to VRE, Target, etc.

Those townhomes off Falmead seem pretty nice. They are located very close to Royal Lake which has a nice trail, playground and ballfield to enjoy. There are also a couple of small tot lots within the development (I think 2?). There is a Bowl America right across Guinea road.

It is a diverse neighborhood with both families and singles living there. George Mason is pretty close by, so some residents may be students. Parking extra cars on the side of Falmead can be a little risky from what I hear - there have been some hit and runs/break ins. But otherwise, no real crime to speak of.

Overall, it is a good area. Traffic can be a bit of a pain on Guinea road during rush hour - such is life in NOVA.
