I've lived in the Landmark neighborhood for 3 years. Not the prettiest place to live but I feel safe here. The biggest crime concern here is car break-ins but as long as you dont leave anything tempting inside your car (specifically portable GPS systems) you wont have to worry.

Depends where you are taking about - I'm closer to Foxchase (SFH) (less than 2 miles from Landmark Mall) and feel totally safe here.

I feel very safe here. We live about a mile west of the mall, and all we have heard about are car break-ins.

We are moving very shortly, because we have bought a house since we have run out of room in our condo!

If I were to live in the Landmark area, I'd look at Foxchase. I'd rather be east of I-395 (within Alexandria City limits) versus being west and being in Lincolnia.

That strip mall is totally redone. It's more upscale now, with a Harris Teeter anchoring the center.
