Default Commuting from Quantico to Tysons-Hotlanes

Will hot lanes makes this trip easier or more difficult? Any idea what the tolls will be for a long commute like this? I've been making this trip for 12 years. Thankfully I work 6am-2pm which helps.

I work in the Tysons area and from what I've heard the lanes could end up being anywhere from $1-$2 per mile depending on congestion. They are supposed to guarantee you at least 55 mph at all times which could prove somewhat difficult without insanely high tolls. There are plans to extend the HOT lanes on 395 from the 14th St. Bridge all the way down past the Beltway and along 95 to Massoponax but I haven't heard much about that recently.

Regardless, the Beltway lanes from Springfield to the Legion Bridge won't be complete for another five years so only time will truly tell. I'm concerned about the massive bottleneck that will occur where the lanes end near the Legion Bridge...after all Maryland isn't widening their portion of the Beltway. One only has to look at the massive back-up that occurs on 95 near Dumfries where the HOV lanes end for what is to come in the Tysons area.

Yes, I heard at least $1 per mile, which will be at least $30 one way. Im not sure most people realize how high this toll is going to be. Thats just crazy. Maybe only on Fridays. I can imagine the bottleneck to MD also, Dumfries is yucky at the HOV end point.
Thanks for the input!
