Water in Alexandria and surroundings
I am planning to move to metro dc area, va.(alexandria and its surroundings).
I would like to know howz the water...i mean is it a Hard Water...some of my friends complain that there are some parts of Virginia where you find hard water and will change the color of skin also...

Very hard water in Alexandria. I've never heard of it changing the color of skin though.

The water here is the same as in Northern cities. Tastes bad as usual.

If you move to great falls or some of the outer burbs, you can get your own well water, not city water.

i work in DC WASA(exit 2 on I-295) and any clue which is good place near to my work..I am very new to this place...

Hard doesnt mean water is badn just like soft doesnt mean it is good.
There are suggestions that hard water protects against heart disease. Can muck up your appliances though and stops shampoo/shower gel etc from lathering.
