Loudoun has become more suburban, especially from '02-present. When I say suburban, I don't mean it in the definition itself, but in the overall lifestyle kinda like Stafford County.

My bad, I meant to say Glen Allen. I was in Glen Allen not Richmond.

I really don't get it- if it's THAT bad - then please move out- seriously.. but if you reply it's because of jobs or opportunity then obviously this place offers more to keep you here. There is such a thing as free will. For our work situation, this is the beneficial- I believe we have a lot of bonuses here- cultural (yes- that is something sometimes taken for granted living here), educational (top schools), outdoors etc. I am repeating that we are not in Colorado with top notch skiing, not in San Diego with great weather- but - hey- there are issues with those places too- it depends on your stage of life.
Thank you thank you thank you. Very well put. We have it all here IMO.
Some people just don't want to pay the price for having everything, and those people aren't natives.

I was up there in May 2008 to sing at the National Cup of Polo. While I was there I stayed at The Best Western in Leesburg. The main difference I did notice- was um... more of our non-English speaking friends to the South. But they were nice. It was like that when I was out in Nashville too

This is odd- but on TBN or something they did a show called "spritiual mapping". I definitely feel a change in NOVA vs Central VA and other parts. Its not only more Northern in feel, but its just a different vibe up there.

I dont think everyone is rude, though. Its just that people are so tired because in NOVA all you seem to do is drive, drive, drive. In that respect- its more in tune with Los Angeles.

Ironically, I still feel that Leesburg is a small , charming, southern town.

ahahahahahahah!

Weird? What characteristics would you qualify as weird?

I listen to a lot of Electronica and Techno and goodness I've been called weird for that.

Most of the black dudes I run into in the NOVA area are pretty clean cut, smart, employed , and paid folks. You must be meeting the wrong folks Artsy.
