Take my word, best tacos you will find

Is that the Truck? I pass by there a few times a week. Looks like I am going to have to try it out.

Thai Curry on Glebe at Pershing, in the same little strip as the Buckingham Florist. Great catfish ($15), really good pad thai ($12), quick delivery.

Awesome bike shop plug -- Papillon Cycles on Columbia Pike in Arlington. I bought a bike for my daughter today and the service was PHENOMENAL. He took the time to talk with my daughter, get a sense of how she wanted to use the bike, and we all test drove the bike in the adjacent parking lot. He offered suggestions for her to get used to the bike and advice as to when to bring the bike back in to be looked at and serviced. We ended up getting a great bike that fits her well, received exceptional service, and it was a fine example for my daughter in how local businesses can truly offer a difference.

Yoshi Sushi in Vienna was incredible. I have eaten at a lot of sushi places in this area. This one is cheaper and better quality than all the rest. They have single serving options for sashimi which allowed me to get the more adventurous choices like the baby octopus, surf clam, and of course the urchin. Me and the girlfriend got out of there stuffed and impressed with a 30 dollar bill for both.

Second that. Bailey is a great guy and a top flight bike mechanic. Feel really good about having my bikes serviced there as I use my bikes to get around and for errands rather than speed riding on the weekends. He seems to tailor for everyday bicyclists rather than the hipsters or the guys clad in spandex (although I'm sure he can service those bikes, too).

Seconded. And FWIW the sushi chefs are actually Japanese (though apparently trained in classic French cookery.. go figure).

It's the only place I've had (ovo-, in the case of one of them) vegetarian sushi that tasted really, really, good (I mean, besides my own non-professional-but-surprisingly-yummy attempts).

Pelanos in Fairfax, in the little shopping center across the street from the new Walmart is great. Excellent pizza, subs and Italian specialites. I love the atmosphere there too, it's a casual, friendly place that reminds me of a small town kind of place in spite of the surrounding sprawl. Very friendly owners, and great prices.

Default My Favorite 7-Eleven in McLean, VA is having a yard sale this Saturday?

I saw a flyer in their store and I asked the manager (an Asian guy) and he confirmed that this Saturday from (of course) 7 to 11am - they are having their first ever yard sale - alot of merchandise they want to turn over for the summer season will be marked down up to 75% off = he said they will also be giving away door prizes and stuff. I don't know the exact address - but it's the one in downtown McLean next to the PNC Bank and Starbucks. He said its only his store that will be doing this..should be fun !!!!
